From Street Mangoes to Sky-High Sushi – My Bengaluru Bite of Contrast

Bengaluru is a city of contrast—and magic. The kind that lingers.
That morning, I stumbled upon a roadside mango stall, tucked under the shade of a banyan tree. A barefoot boy stood protectively over his baby brother, both surrounded by crates of Bengaluru’s own Raspuri mangoes—juicy, golden, and sweet with just a hint of tang. It was one of those scenes that humbles you. No curated aesthetic—just life, in its rawest form.
Hours later, I found myself in an entirely different world, 21 floors up, at Far & East Asian Brasserie inside Four Seasons Bengaluru.

This rooftop escape wraps you in quiet luxury—think rich wooden panels, crisp white tableware, and floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the room with golden-hour light. There’s even a live cooking station, where you can watch chefs flame, slice, and roll with hypnotic precision. It’s part theater, part therapy.

My meal was a soothing, all-vegetarian affair:
• A warm miso soup, like a hug in a bowl
• Tempura vegetables, light and impossibly crisp
• And avocado sushi rolls—buttery, clean, and deeply satisfying

As the sky turned pink and the city shimmered below, I sipped green tea and let the contrast settle in: From sticky mango fingers to chopsticks and skyline views, Bengaluru somehow contains it all.
Highly recommend for:
• Sunset dinners
• Celebratory nights
• And anyone craving a little elevation—both on your plate and in your spirit.
